What to expect

Wide fairways, demanding targets

Barefoot’s Love Course is designed to suit a broad range of players. The landing areas are more generous than Dye’s, but the challenge moves closer to the hole: strategic bunkering, thoughtful approach angles, and small, sculpted greens inspired by Pinehurst No. 2.

The full layout measures just over 7,000 yards. White is approximately 6,069 yards and Green approximately 5,599 yards on the current published card. In the final 2026 round, the entire H&H field played the Green tees.

Round-specific game plan

  • Both partners hit every shot and choose the preferred location after each pair.
  • Use the wide fairways to establish one playable drive before attacking.
  • Approach position matters more than simply hitting the green. Avoid leaving the team short-sided.
  • Team pops are shown on the receiving side of each matchup. Record one gross team score.
  • Pack the car and complete resort checkout before leaving for the course.

Course character

The course uses GN-1 Bermuda on tees and fairways, TifSport Bermuda in approach areas, Champion UltraDwarf greens, and 419 Bermuda rough. The faux plantation ruins remain one of the layout’s signature visual features.

Three keys

How to score here

Free the second driver

Once the first partner finds a fairway, the second can chase distance or a better angle.

Miss to the safe side

The green complexes create difficult recoveries; pick the side that leaves the easiest team chip.

Finish with discipline

Sunday fatigue is real. Keep the routine simple and let the format provide the aggression.
